Monica joined Wonder Window Children’s Center as Director in 2017. She comes having served 2 years as an Assistant Director and 1 year as a Teacher at Lil’ Explorers Preschool. She has over 15 years of experience working with children and families. Ms. Monica attends Sacred Heart Catholic Church and has a BA in Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies from CSUB. She is a new homeowner and is a fur mom to her Chihuahua, Tebow.
Vanessa Stewart has been with Wonder Window Children's Center since 2012. She has an associate's degree in early childhood. "I feel very fortunate to be able to teach here in an environment where God is the foundation! I look forward to sharing God's love with my class this year!" She has been married for nine years and has two children both of whom have attended Wonder Window. Mrs. Vanessa and her family attend Valley Bible Fellowship where they all serve together. During her free time she enjoys relaxing at home and reading a good book with her family. "I am very proud of my little ones and every day am happy to be their teacher and to be have the opportunity to watch them learn and grow."
Joyce Toenjes has served on the staff of Wonder Window Children’s Center for four years, after moving to Bakersfield from Green Bay, Wisconsin, with her husband (Lutheran Church of Prayer’s Pastor Hal Toenjes) and family in 2016. Ms Joyce has 30 years’ experience teaching preschoolers and early elementary students and enjoys keeping up with her own three college-age children.
Jacob Hernandez has led the After-school care Program for school-aged children at Wonder Window for nine years as well as the summer and holiday school-age care. He also serves in the Panama-Buena Vista School District as an Autism Aide. He is a fan of anything Disney.
